Images while sailing the Gulf Islands BC reflect the three aspects of human nature. The figure lower right represents the subconscious or emotional as it strives to free itself from its granite limitations. The figure on the upper left represents the intellectual life, in the open, settled with what it believes to be true. Finally the hidden figure, a shadow in the depth of the cave represents the wisdom one seeks beyond the polarities of the other two.
